1. What Glance is

Glance is a Mac app that reads a part of your screen that you choose and shows an answer from an AI model. By installing or using Glance you agree to these terms.

2. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Glance on one Mac that you own or control. You may not sell, rent, share, copy or reverse engineer Glance, except where the law says you may.

3. Use it lawfully and follow other people's rules

• You are responsible for how you use Glance.
• Follow the rules of your school, employer, exam provider, meeting host and any service you use it with. Do not use Glance to cheat, to break those rules, or to break the law.
• Do not capture other people's private information unless you have the right to. Some places require consent before you record or capture what other people say or show.

4. No promise of invisibility

Glance asks macOS to keep its windows out of screen capture. This may work in some apps and macOS versions and not in others, and it can stop working after an update. Other software may still see that Glance is running. We do not promise that Glance is hidden from any person or program. Test it before you rely on it.

5. AI answers can be wrong

AI models make mistakes. Check important answers yourself. Do not rely on Glance for medical, legal, financial, safety or other high-stakes decisions.

6. Third-party software and models

Glance can use Ollama and AI models made by other companies. They have their own licenses and terms, and you must follow them. If you connect a cloud API, your captured text or image is sent to that provider under its terms and privacy policy.

7. Use at your own risk

Glance is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of Glance. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Glance. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Updates, price and refunds

Glance costs a one-time price, shown on our website. That price includes free updates for all version 1 releases. You can try Glance free for 14 days before you pay. If you buy and it is not for you, email support@getglance.app within 14 days of purchase and we will refund what you paid.

9. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Glance at any time. We can end or suspend your license at any time. If we do, your license key stops working and Glance stops accepting it. We may end your license right away if you break these terms.

10. Changes and law

We may change these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Questions: support@getglance.app.
